For those of you who are stopping by for the first time... thanks for coming in. For those you you who may have been here recently, you probably noticed that we had an encounter with a hacker who defaced our homepage with messages of intolerance and hatred. If you saw that stuff.... sorry. It's certainly unfortunate that some people can't find anything better to do with their time and talents than that. Anyway... we're back up and running and working hard to get things cleaned up and to make this a better place to find out about our quartet and to share thoughts and ideas about all things harmonious! So... take a look around, follow the links you find and, as soon as we can get it completed, leave us a message in our guestbook. - tw
After much thought, Rich Hansen has made the decision to leave the quartet. Rich is, of course, a guy in great demand on many fronts and between work and play, something had to give. We're more than a little sad to see him leave us after six wonderful years singing in this quartet together, but we know that this will not be the end for either Rich or the quartet.
Rich will continue to be involved with the Sound of Illinois Chorus in Bloomington, IL working hard to help the chorus improve visually and musically as we work toward our first (of many to come) appearance on the International stage in Nashville, TN this July. Add to that the duties he takes for himself inspiring and teaching the students at Mt. Zion High School (he's got two quartets that he coaches there) to love music, and you can see that he's got a full schedule. So... we wish Rich all the greatest success in the world as we move forward into 2008!
Meanwhile, back at the ranch, Wound 4 Sound will be starting the search for a replacement Baritone this Spring and we're looking forward to the next exciting phase of our collective Barbershop journey and we'll be back in the very near future to sing a song (and a tag) and hopefully to share some of this wonderful American artform we love so much. See you all soon! -tw
